Samba Mapangala, the African artist who brought you the evergreen smash hit Vunja Mifupa, now brings you OBAMA UBARIKIWE (Obama be blessed). The just-released song, done in English and Swahili, is in praise of Barack Obama and wishes him success. It features Minneapolis-based 14-year old rapper, Fanaka Ndege. The symbolism in the duet between Samba and Fanaka is that Obama’s candidacy is bringing people of different generations and backgrounds together. This is Samba’s and Fanaka’s contribution to Obama’s campaign. Spread the gospel of change.
